North Carolina Fishing Report, Oregon Inlet Tuna Fishing

Oregon Inlet Tuna Fishing
Oregon Inlet Tuna Fishing

Bluefin Tuna action off of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center reached a peak frenzied peak this weekend with most boats landing one to two fish in the 81 inch range, that's about 300 pounds. This fish was taken by John O'Brien and is in the 375 pound range. There were lots of bites on Saturday and plently of tackle breaking action from these rhinos of the deep.
The commerical landings were meet and that season is closed. The recreational season remains open with one fish per day per boat under 73 inches. With that considered the pressure is off these fish and the catch and release fishing should continue to be good. One or two yellowfin tuna were also taken on the heavy tackle. It is all here on the Outer Banks of North Carolina so give us a call and catch the offshore gamefish of a lifetime.
